Guido Mocafico initially wanted to become a fashion photographer, along with all the clichés portrayed in Blow up. But at the Vevey school of photography in Switzerland, that he attended for two years, fashion photography was very much of a taboo subject. Ironically, Guido's still life photography has enhanced the image of all the big names in fashion: Gucci, Issey Miyake, Christian Dior, Hugo Boss, Armani as well as such cutting edge magazines as The Face, Dazed & Confused, Citizen k, Numéro, Big, Harper's Bazaar, not to mention many of Condé Nast's publications. But being locked-up in his spotlight-heated studio under strict surveillance of fashion editors soon gave him the urge to travel.
